09/10 EPL Relegation Prediction
My prediction for the bottom 3 who going to be relegated will be Burnley in last position, Hull in 19th and Wigan on the 18th with Wolves and Stoke just slightly above them.
Burnley
They are good enough to play in the top flight yet, as their players are inexperience in Premier League football, will just fall like Derby in 07/08 and West Brom in 08/09. A good chance for them to gain some experience and improve on their squad and be back again in few year time. They got a poor fixture schedule to start with, Stoke City as their opening match opponent might seen easy, but Stoke City has good record at home. With the following 5 game, playing against 3 of the top 4 club, Man utd, Chelsea and Liverpool and 2 of the favourite to snatch 4th position away from the usual top 4, Everton and Tottenham. I won’t be amaze to see them still at 0 points after 6 matches.
Point Prediction – 24
Hull City
An awesome starting forms last season see them get 20 points out of 27 in first 9 matches, was the main reason that they survived from relegation last season with just 1 points above relegated Newcastle. Lady luck won’t be on them again this coming season with a opening match against Chelsea. They spent a total of £8+m signing in Ghilas, Hunt and Olofinjana, all 3 are attacking players in the summer, despite the area they should focus is defensive as they have concede the most goal other than West Brom in the league last season.
Point Prediction – 31
Wigan
They didn’t make permanent deal with their on loan top scorer striker last season, Zaki who scored 10 goals in the Premier League last season. With another 2 key player in the midfield left the club, Valencia and Cattermole, they will have a hard time keeping possession. With Zaki, Heskey and Valencia scored a combined of 16 goals, near half of what Wigan scored in the league, Wigan will have a hard time finding the net. Manager Martinez will have to look forward to Sinclair and Scotland to provide those missing goal.
Point Prediction – 37
