Pre Season Form
With just 2 more days to the start of new season opening match, all the top 4 clubs has already done with their pre season tours and friendly with Chelsea won the crash against Man Utd in the FA Community Shield after a penalty shoot out of 4-1 in Wembley last Sunday. So far, both Arsenal and Liverpool has played 7 games while Chelsea done 6 matches and Man Utd finished 8 matches.

Arsenal
Arsenal has won the Emirates Cup this season, the only trophy since they lifted 04/05 FA Cup. Althought they scored 20 goals in those 7 pre season matches, but their opponents so far haven’t been quite a match to EPL standard. They scored 12 goals in the 2 matches against the weak Austria’s Columbia and Hungary’s Haladas side, which mean only 8 goal in the other 5 matches. With the transfers of Adebayor and Toure to Man City and the pre season injury of Nasri and Rosicky out for months, they hardly got the strength to challenge for the title in the coming season with just 1 new signing, Vermaelen from Ajax.

Chelsea
Chelsea has been 1 of the consistance EPL title challenger since the takeover of Roman Abramovich 6 season ago, whereby Chelsea won the league twice and finishes 2nd for 3 time and only last season finished 3rd. Chelsea with an average of 2 goals scored in these 6 matches and remains unbeaten yet is quite impressive with the opponents like AC Milan, Inter and Man Utd among them. They are also the only club in top 4 which didn’t sell away any of their key member. With the new manager Ancelotti, 1 of the few managers who has proven himself in both player and manager career, in charge of Chelsea and brought in his successful 4-4-2 diamond formation along. We shall be expecting a new looking Chelsea with great forms in the coming season.

Liverpool
Only 9 goals scored in 7 matches and 5 of it come from against a World FIFA ranking 127 side, Singapore, it shown Benitez got lots of works to do before the start of new season. The main reason will be because of the missing of Gerrard due to court cases and their Spanish mini squad of Reina, Arbeloa, Alonso and Torres due to the Confederation Cup in most of the matches. But Liverpool need to get use to the life now without Spanish duo Arbeloa and Alonso who both left for Real Madrid in the summer. So far, Benitez has signed 2 key players Glen Johnson and Alberto Aquilani, but what they really needs is someone who can play both attacking midfield and striker role and can filled up either Torres or Gerrard spot if 1 of them got injured.

Manchester United
The biggest question for Man Utd in the coming season shall be can either Nani or Valencia filled up C.Ronaldo role? With the leaving duo of C.Ronaldo and C.Tevez, a combined of 40 goals scored last season, it remains doubtful for Man Utd to defend their titles. With enough depth of talents in the midfield, striker shall be the area for Ferguson to look into, to choose the partnership between Rooney, Owen and Berbertov. A defence crisis might cause them to lost some points which are important for the title race with Van Der Sar, Neville, Rafael, Brown and Vidic sidelined .

Top 4 Prediction
I think Chelsea will win the EPL Title in the coming season with Liverpool comes 2nd, Man Utd being 3rd and Arsenal remains 4th. The main reason for Chelsea to win the league shall be the depth of their squad to choose from, with enough decent players to backup in all position if any of their key player get injured. Unlike other rivals club, Chelsea doesn’t have much changes in their squad with just 1 new signing, Zhirkov, who can play at both Left back and Left Midfield which give Ancelotti more alternative. Liverpool will need to rely on their Gerrard-Torres partnership again and hopefully an injury free season for both of them.  With the leaving of Arbeloa and Alonso who always provide great set pieces and cross, Liverpool is likely to score less goals in the coming season. Manchester United can only be third as their new signing Valencia and Owen doesn’t look sharp at all in the Community Shield. To sell away a player which consistently scored more than 25 goals each season shall make a big impact in the team. Although C.Ronaldo are the star player but C.Tevez are the one which Man Utd fan truthly missed. Tevez has always been the savior of the team to score the match winning goals when no one produce it, running around the field like a charging bull to cause opponent to loose ball and mistake. With missing duo star in midfield through injury and key defender with top scorer striker sold away, Arsenal will have to rely on both young starlets, Wilshere and Walcott down the wings. Being smallest squad among top 4, injury of key players will cause their downfall to the title races. With such an young squad compare to the other 3 rivals, speed is their only lethal weapon but weaker in physical strength and less experience will cause their failure in capturing the title.
