EPL Update: Chelsea 5 points clear at the top

Lots of goals was being scored in weekend EPL matches. 7 out of 9 matches got more than 3 or more goals scored. Chelsea went 5 points clear after a marginal 1-0 victory over Man Utd, Spurs emerge into top 4 after Man City getting another draw again, 5 matches in a row.

John Carew inspire Aston Villa to a 5-1 win over Bolton, by setting up 3 goals and convert 1 in by himself with Aston Villa missed a penalty, 2nd time in the week. Both substitute Jason Roberts and Ryan Nelsen fought back for Blackburn in the 2nd half after coming 1-0 down at the break to earn themselves 3 precious points with the scoreline of 3-1 at the final whistle.

Man City failed to get the 3 points after coming back into the game from 2-0 down with 3 goals in 15 minutes, but conceded a late goal to Kevin McDonald at 87minutes to finish the game with a 3-3 draw. A return of Darren Bent in White Park Lane following his transfer in the summer saw him miss a penalty for Sunderland and lost 2-0 to Spurs with a goals from Robbie Keane and Tom Huddlestone in each half.

Arsenal continuous their form by winning 4-1 against Wolves, 3rd game in a row to win by 3 goals. Wolves concede 2 own goals in first half before scoring a consolation at the end by a header from Craddock. Fabregas strike again to bring his scoring charts to 6 goals in EPL, top midfielder in the scoring list with Lampard, Dunn and Arshavin all at 4 goals each.

Under-fire Hull manager Phil Brown can finally breathe a sigh of relief for now, as his side come back from behind after the break to win 2-1 by an injury time strike from the dutchman Hesselink and this was just their 3rd win in 33 league games, West Ham went back in the relegation zone after a 2-1 defeat at home to Everton. Wigan and Fulham both picked up a point with a 1-1 draw, both goals scored in the first half.

The big match of the week was Chelsea vs Man Utd at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea captain John Terry glanced home the winning goal from Lampard free kick at 76th-minute. Both Berbertov and Ferdinand was not included in the lineup, while Vidic sit on the bench. Chelsea started with their usual formation 4-4-2 diamond while Ferguson went for 4-3-3, Valencia and Giggs supporting the targetman Rooney.

Man Utd was the better team before the goals was conceded. Chelsea took 26minutes before trying their first attempt shot from far range. While Man Utd has always look dangerous when Rooney holding the ball upfront and they got quite a few goodplay down the wing which they failed to convert.

Before John Terry headed in the winning goals, referee Martin Atkinson only issued 2 yellow card to Ivanovic and Drogba in the whole 75 minutes. Once the goal was scored, the fairplay spirit disappear from both side which saw 4 yellow card being issued to Rooney, Carvalho, Evans and Valencia in the last quarter of the hour.

Joe Cole name has been chanted by fan to urge Ancelotti to sub him in the 63th minute for Deco when the game is still scoreless. Man Utd substitute Obertan impress with some great run after Giggs make way for him on the 85th minutes. Look like tactican Ferguson took too long to make his changes as Obertan look far more impress than Valencia which seem lost in the field.
